St. Thomas College of Nursing is a unit of the educational institutions of Archdiocese Changanessery. The college was established in the year 2002 with B. Sc Nursing course and was affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. It is open, like all other Educational Institutions under Catholic auspices, to all persons irrespective of religion, caste or community. In 2010 the college got affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) Thrissur. Post graduate programme started in 2012 in Medical Surgical Nursing specialty with four seats.
As per Indian Nursing Council norms, the candidates should have passed +12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Minimum Marks: Score at least 50% marks.
Applicants should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2019. No relaxation of age will be allowed
Candidates should have passed the regular Degree course in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing/Post Basic B. Sc Nursing) with 55% aggregate marks from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
One year compulsory nursing service/ internship after successful completion of four year B. Sc Nursing can be considered as experience.

We have a 420 bedded NABH pre-accredited parent hospital, which provides extensive training for our under graduate and post Graduate students with the support of registered nurse mentors and dedicated faculty who impart skills that will hold them in excellent stead throughout their careers.

St Thomas College of Nursing was established in 2002 and is one among the first 19 Nursing Colleges under self financing scheme. Now nursing is flourished with unlimited opportunities at present and nursing care is shifted from traditional hospital care to communities, homes, schools and industries. Research and health development programs also give recognition and reputation to nursing profession.
About 750 graduates and 24 post graduates have walked out from St Thomas family to serve the sick and needy people across the world, brightening their heart and mind with love and compassion.
The students are trained by excellent, efficient and highly motivated faculty members who keep themselves up-to-date with the rapid advances in the health care sector in India as well as abroad.
Hence, the students are confident enough to meet the international standards in terms of quality of nursing education and health care services. The curriculum has been designed to produce opportunities to express and evolve the potential and inherent talent of the students to flourish their personality to full fledged individuals of society.
